To this end, with the support of the "13th Five-Year Plan" national key R&D plan and the State Grid Corporation of China's major special projects, the project team has made breakthroughs in the basic theory and core technology of medium-frequency ultra-thin oriented electrical steel from base material to finished product, and achieved the development of high-end materials. Independent research and development and engineering applications. The project team has gathered top research and production institutions in the field of oriented electrical steel R&D and application. It has carried out systematic research work on the basic theory of oriented electrical steel, R&D and application technology of base materials and ultra-thin oriented electrical steel, and has reached international standards in the field of R&D. Leading level, production and application of 0.18mm~0.35mm oriented electrical steel for power transformers. A series of laboratory and industrial trial production studies of ≤0.10mm ultra-thin oriented electrical steel have been carried out, providing theoretical and practical basis for achieving a breakthrough in domestic high-end ultra-thin oriented electrical steel from "0" to "1".

This project adopts a consistent R&D and production technical route from special base materials to ultra-thin oriented electrical steel. Research is conducted around the development of high-performance base materials, preparation of ultra-thin oriented electrical steel, full-process integration of industrial production lines, establishment of multi-working condition application evaluation systems, core and equipment development and engineering applications. Breakthroughs in basic theories such as the microstructure evolution mechanism of special base materials and ultra-thin oriented electrical steel, Goss's grain competition and growth mechanism, edge grinding control of easily magnetizable textures, and the matching mechanism between magnetic properties and microstructure morphology, etc. Develop a full-process industrial production process for high-performance base metal and ultra-thin oriented electrical steel, and create a multi-condition coupling test platform and evaluation method for materials and core materials. Overcome the key technologies of core and equipment design and manufacturing, solve the problems of lack of special substrates, insufficient basic theories of magnetic properties and structure control, and weak key technologies, and finally realize the mass production and engineering application of domestic materials, iron cores and equipment, and solve core problems. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, my country plans to build 14 UHV DC transmission projects, as well as ultra-thin transmission projects. The NTED electrical steel materials and anode saturable reactors developed in this project will continue to be used in the construction of subsequent DC projects. The single ±800kV UHV DC transmission project uses approximately 3840 iron cores and 384 anode saturated reactors. At the same time, with the steady advancement of the country's "One Belt, One Road" strategy, the ultra-thin oriented electrical steel materials and devices developed by this project, the evaluation technology developed, the standards formulated and the promotion and application experience can be applied to Germany, Brazil, Pakistan, Turkey In DC electrical engineering projects won by other countries, we ensure project quality and safety and enhance international competitiveness. At the same time, this product can be widely used in medium frequency transformers for new energy grid-connected equipment, medium frequency transformers for rail transit, high-end equipment in aerospace, military industry and other fields. The total demand is expected to exceed 100,000 units in the next five years.
