Dry-type transformer manufacturers analyze how they see current

A dry-type transformer is a transformer whose core and windings are not immersed in insulating oil. It is widely used in local lighting, high-rise buildings, airports, docks, CNC machinery and equipment and other places. How can the current of a dry-type transformer be checked? The following dry-type transformer manufacturers analyze how they look at current.

Use an ammeter: You can measure the current of the dry-type transformer more accurately. First, you need to disconnect the external power supply of the transformer, then clamp the telescopic clamp of the ammeter on the input and output lines of the transformer, and then turn on the power supply of the transformer to read the current of the transformer.

Use a clamp-on current transformer: A clamp-on current transformer is a current detection device widely used in power systems, which can measure current values non-contactly. Using a clamp-on current transformer to detect the current of a dry-type transformer does not require a power-off operation. You only need to put the clamp-on current transformer on the input and output lines to read the current of the transformer.

Use high- and low-voltage clamp meters: For the low-voltage side, you can use a low-voltage clamp meter for measurement; for the high-voltage side, use a high-voltage clamp meter for measurement.

It should be noted that when checking the current, an appropriate measurement method should be selected according to the actual situation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the measurement results. At the same time, relevant regulations and safe operating procedures should be followed during the operation to ensure the safety of the operation process.

In addition, the monitoring devices of dry-type transformers and oil-immersed transformers also include measuring instruments such as ammeters, voltmeters, and thermometers. The ammeter can directly measure the load and monitor whether the oil-immersed transformer is overloaded.

In summary, the current of a dry-type transformer can be measured by using an ammeter, a clamp current transformer, and a high and low voltage clamp meter. During actual operation, the appropriate measurement method should be selected according to the actual situation, and relevant regulations and safe operating procedures should be followed to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the measurement results.
